commūnicātus (communicated): ‘communis’ (n.) + ‘communicare’ (v.)
m (feminine commūnicāta, neuter commūnicātum); 1st/2nd declension

It means 'commonality' and to make common respectively. From the
viewpoint of etymological depth, communication refers to sharing of something. Something means information or knowledge or meaning. Therefore, here communication is the process of sharing information, knowledge or meaning.

The Sadharanikaran model of communication (SMC) is a representation of communication process from Hindu perspective. It is systematic description in diagrammatic form of a process of attaining mutual understanding, commonness or oneness among people.
It helps those communicating to pervade the unequal relationship prevailed in the society and the very process of communication is facilitated.
